Problems and troubleshooting of sprinkler head in farmland irrigation equipment

Common failures of farmland sprinkler irrigation equipment mainly include nozzle failure, abnormal water tongue character, insufficient range, water leakage of rotating part of nozzle, non rotating or slow rotation of nozzle, too small or swing angle of rocker arm; faults shall be found and solved in time during production.

Common troubles of nozzle and troubleshooting

(1) The water tongue was abnormal. The abnormal fault of water tongue may be caused by the processing accuracy of the nozzle. If there is burr or damage, the nozzle shall be polished smooth or replaced; if there is serious damage inside the nozzle, the nozzle shall be replaced; if there is blockage of foreign matters inside the nozzle, the nozzle shall be removed to remove foreign matters; if there is distortion of the rectifier, the rectifier shall be repaired or replaced.

(2) The water tongue character is acceptable, but the range is not enough. When the range is not enough, the reason may be that the rotating speed of the nozzle is too fast, so the rotating speed of the nozzle should be properly reduced; or the working pressure is not enough, so the pressure should be increased according to the design requirements.

(3) The rotating part of the nozzle leaks water. When the rotating part of the nozzle leaks, it may be caused by the wear of the gasket, the damage of the sealing rubber ring or improper installation, which should be replaced or reinstalled; it may also be caused by the sediment in the gasket, the sealing end face is not tightly matched, which should be disassembled and thoroughly cleaned; it may also be caused by the insufficient processing accuracy of the nozzle, which should be repaired or replaced.

(4) The rocker nozzle does not rotate or rotates slowly. When the nozzle does not rotate or rotates slowly, the reason may be that the gap between the hollow shaft and the shaft sleeve is too small, so it should be turned or polished to increase the gap; it may also be that the shaft sleeve is screwed too tight during installation, and the shaft sleeve should be properly loosened; it may also be that the sand entering between the hollow shaft and the shaft sleeve is blocked, so it should be removed and cleaned before reinstallation.

(5) The opening angle of the rocker arm is too small or cannot be swung away. When this fault occurs, the reason may be that the rocker arm and the rocker arm shaft are too tightly matched, the resistance is too large, and the clearance should be increased properly; the rocker arm spring is too tightly pressed, and the spring pressure should be adjusted appropriately; the rocker arm is installed too high, the water guide cannot cut the water tongue, and the position of the rocker arm should be adjusted appropriately; the water supply pressure may be insufficient, and the working pressure of the water supply should be adjusted appropriately 。
